This is the set after LOTN? I thought they're gonna do the four elements now... :-(((((( Guess not... I can stop dreaming about a FIRE set now...

they like to have the first booster of a series to have the word duelist in its name(and green packet).
i cant wait for the starter deck and this to be release!

I'm happy of release of Yugioh 2008 NDS but disappointed because I found out there are some importants cards are missing and also found some bug problems for cards effects.

Missing cards are :
Spell Striker
Volcanic rocket
Zombie Master
Gladiator Octavious
and many more...
In reality these cards actually released along with other cards in all respected packs but not in this game.
And another flaw is that some cards has a bug problem that some cards effects are not working.
Cards are:
- 'dragged down in to graveyard' when used for special summoning Dark world monsters and activating it's effects. But it was not working at all! (it was working in yugioh 2006 gba)
- 'six samurai - Zanji' this card effect is when he attacks it'll destroy any monster after the damage step. But it was NOT working at all!
-'Purity of soul and light' it's effect is to decrease the attack of all opponent's monsters during the battle phase. But that too didn't work at all!

This is the big disappointed for all Yugioh fans. It really really bad! What's wrong with Konami? Konami should have analysised these problems before. Konami has to release the proper one! I hope in next yugioh game they have to and MUST include ALL the cards and ALL the fixes.

They want to show us a lot of new sets as early as possible. And a new rule element and a new monster category? I'm pretty happy now! And Stardust Dragon seems interesting... I'm thinking it has a new monster category!

Maybe the new tipe of monsters whould be Sound?

maybe its a new attribute if u ppl remember yubel and the byroon tried to summon a monster that hasn't been seen colorless king of the dark world or something like that so maybe trueman plays him since he played a dark world monster in his and judai's first duel

I just hope that there will be new hero cards and maybe just maybe the star monster has to do with something of the neo spacians and e-hero neos.

I'm eagerly to know which new cards for element,monster category & duel strategy will be coming. Please update soon. I hate waiting.

Whoever said all new series's of packs start with a green color packet is wrong as tactical evolution was blue.Also lost millenium was the first gx pack and it was brown.but I can see where you guys ara going because Soul of the duelist and Power of the Duelist were green.

1) Along with this year's Starter deck, this set builds on its themes.
2) "new series" refers to those Master Collection sets, like how "Soul of the Duelist" through "Enemy of Justice" are ONE series. The current series started with "Power of the Duelist" (and introduced the 4-letter Set Code on the cards - ex. POTD-EN??).
3) "New rule element" still under wraps. "New monster category" means, most likely, a new coloured card type, e.i. Normal Monsters = Yellow, Effect Monsters = Orange, Ritual Monsters = Blue, Fusion Monsters = Violet, New Category = ???

I wonder if there going to make more Phantom Beast and Machiners Cards? And the Machiners Cards I'm talking about like Machiners Force, Machiners Soldier, Machiners Sniper, and Machiners Defence. Those are the Machiners that I'm talking about. So maybe I was wondering if there will make more Phantom Beast and Machiners Cards?

I think that guy who plays Honest's deck is in here because it says on the episode discription clear attribute. So that must be the mystery new type.

Remember in the original Yu-Gi-Oh!, before the Battle City Finals, the went into that...place...I could never keep track of anything in that whole series of events...
Anyways, what if the new category is "Duel Master" or something (probably called "Duel Spirits", but you know, right?)! That would definitely be a new ruling, way to play AND new Monster Category!

If you have a problem understanding the whole 'Synchro' thing, I think I explained it okay, if you look under the "Starter Deck 2008".

Still not getting the idea of it however we hope this new rule will introduce in the next NDS Yugioh 2009 game.

I guess we will get The duelist genesis after lLight Of destruction.It will most likly come out here in July or august.I'm also guesing we'll get season 4 of GX around the same time japan get's yugioh 5D.I also think the 5D stands for 5 duelists.Also I just whanted to know if the episode on 4kidstv are new because I remember seeing some of those on cartoonnetwork like rise of the Dragon.

This is realy funny.I'm happy they are going to make a new yugioh series but my parents are mad because they still have to get me money.I'm still young so my parents have to wait 4 more years untill I get a job.untill then they might cancel yugioh in 2012.i hope they don't by the way when is the 3rd season going to finish already it's been 8 months since it started in june and they have'nt showed the Houe episodes yet.We still have to wait for the 4th season so this means we will get 5D's in about 1-2 years.So that means we get Duelist Genesis way before the start of the new series.We will get Light of Destruction in April or May leaving way for Duelist Genesis in July or Augaust like I already mentioned

Well, seeing as how these Synchro monsters work, it kind of sounds like maybe the Duelists themselves become the Synchro Monsters, like in MegaMan Starforce.
I'm doubtful that the three Synchro Monsters from the Starter Deck will be in here, for exclusive purposes.
About GX though, isn't it likely that the series will go on until September with Episode 208, and many people do say it will have a 5th season, which does make sense.

these star monsters will not be a type like archfiends or gemini's. What they will do is bring divine types like the gods. the only reason you couldn't use them was not cause their effects but no official text print and rulings on them thats why they just considered them an unusable card. they should just continue with divine attribute so it cannot be waisted. As for that evolution stuff, i think it will be just like LV monster just the pre LV would go back to the deck or something like that.
Note: divine does not mean god class, all it means is a class of it's own.

It said on yugioh.wikia what this 5D's is all about.It's about a hero who is trying to get 5 all powerful Dragon cards so they won't get into the wrong hands and he is also trying to be the king of games.So this means 5D's will probably stand for Yugioh The Five Dragons.Also he only needs 4 more because he has Stardust Dragon.I guess this is sortive like waking the dragons maybe the choosen duelist can only weild these dragons.Also I think Stardust Dragon is his Duel Spirit Partner.It also said that the duel disk have themes and the main design is a [bike theme] so this probalbly means it can turn into a motorcycle.A it's also a sentai theme whatever that means.

most likely the main character since thay said the main character uses StarDust Dragon and stardust dragon is a Synchron

accirding to wikipedia sentai is a term used during the WWII to call an army of japanese army or squad, my guess is this series will take it to a differernt realm about 5 kindoms looking 5 dragons.

I thought that Stardust was going to be a LIGHT monster... Oh well. It still looks friggin awesome! Anyways, the other 5 Dragons will probably have EARTH, FIRE, WATER, an LIGHT. I wonder what its effect is.

It does seem to take place in our world still.

This means they may never make all the old yugioh cards like the Kuribohs or all the Dark Magician cards. I was looking forward to cards like that.

He looks like a mix of Judai and Yugi...

I think the main characters name might be something like Yusel Fudai since Jadens name was very close to the original Jaden Yuki =Judai Yuki. The other characters look way cooler than the ones from r and gx.They seem older but don't forget this is after gx so they're actualy younger than those characters.I also noticed that in one of the scans it shows a monster clad in aura while Yusei was on his bike so I guess that might be his duel spirit partner.

It would be awesome if they had motor dueling races on a track that had traps that could effect players lifepoints and or destroy cards,or they're could be bonuseses for players who are winning.And I'm only talking about the show but imagine if this could be real in like 5-10 years,that would be killer but it' might not happen.And It does confirm on yugioh.wikia that Yusei does use the synchro's and it also says his rival Jack Atlas is the king of motor dueling and he uses the so called motor king card or something like that.Yusie also has those two twins as his sidekicks .and that girl also has some sort of power that awakem=ns when she's in deep sorrow or despair but that all changes when she meets Yusei.I also think I know what the antagonists might be like,maybe if they get they're hands on those 5 powerful dragons they can use the power of the duel spirit world to take over ours,I bet they are called the dark motor malitia if they are a soceity.if you like you can reply to my post with you're guesses or info thats confirmed.

Not everything i said was true.The only confirmed things are Yusei's synchro monster,the twins being his sidekicks,the girls powers,and Jack being Yusei's rival and him being the king of motor duels and his so called motor king card.All the other things are guesses but it's pretty acurate that they duel on their bikes because if you look closley on the scans you can see a duel disk on Yusei's bike.

Yusei Fudo is the main charecter.His rival is Jack Atlas.and I fought he got Stardust Dragon from a famous duelist because it is one of those 5 legendary dragons.You don't need to be so mad about it.Like i said these are just guesses.Aslo when the 4th season stars it will most likly end in the winter or spring because it was cut half and only hs 24 episodes and it aired on japan for atleast 3 months and it only has about 4 more episodes,that can prove that it won't take a long time to finish after it dubs.

i know this set is supposed to have cards from the new series, but is it hard to believe that there will be cards from GX?
i mean there are still a lot of cards that haven't been made yet:
Jaden: N-signal, the NEX versions of Dark Panther, Flare Scarab, Air Hummingbird, and Grand Mole (don't forget the fusions), and I'm certain he's going to pull more new stuff in the final duel
Johan: Gem spring for example and some of the other support for the gem beasts (this is less likely)
Fujiwara: all the clear monsters and their support
Fubuki: Red Eyes Wyvern, and maybe some support
Edo: D-Cubic, Celestial, Doctor D, D-mind (it’ll be sad if they don’t make these)

These cards are becoming less and less likely to happen which is very upsetting

i just realized you no how they started GX but they still continued the original yugioh? well wat if they do it with 5D theyd probably finish season 3 then start season 4 and 5D at the same time. That would make sense becuase then the pack and the show would arrive at somewhat the same time.

Just to point out something if people are too lazy to look at Starter Deck 2008, Tune Warrior actually has 1600 ATK.

Anyways, since this section is about The Duelist Genesis, I hope Stardust Dragon doesn't require a specific Tuner monster. Oh, and Jack Atlas' best card is supposedly Red Daemon's Dragon. (I can't remember the website, I know I saw it somewhere today though.) On yugioh.wikia, it shows a pic of Stardust, this new Dragon card, Yuusei, and Jack if you put in "Yugioh 5D's" in the search bar.Also,in other news, Stardust Dragon's effect has been roughly translated to this effect:

Stardust Dragon WIND Dragon/Synchro 8 Stars ???/2000
Tuner Monster + Non-Tuner monster
If a card you control would be destroyed, by Releasing this card, you can negate the effect of that card and destroy it. If this card is sent to the Graveyard by this card's own effect, by Releasing 1 card you control, you can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard.

Pretty neat, eh? If this effect stays, this card would be one of the most powerful cards ever! It wuld be next to impossible to permently destroying this card, since you can just Release it and bring it back at the end of the turn. Release is Tribute, so this card + Treeborn Frog is VERY powerful.

I think release means the cost for a cards effect.

Cards with * are just guesse but they're good stables and supports.Maruading Captain,Exiled Force are good with the synchro warriors such as Junk Warrior,Junk Synchron,Gigatech Fighter,Speed Warrior,Tune Warrior,Knight Of Earth Gaia.and X-Saber urbellum.Ufo Turtle is good with the Flemmbell Magical and Magna Draco.Spiral Serpent is good with the Frozen World monsters ,and Water Spirit because they share the same atiibutesJusti Break,and Birthright are good with the normal synchro's and tuners such as Gaia and Tune Warrior.The rest are just good staples.

Jaden summons God Neos and Neos Wiseman in the final part of his duel with Nightsroud not episode 176.As for them being in this set is unlikly becuse if they did they might as we'll have but them Light Of Destruction instead.It is highly likly that they might be promo's in V-Jump,to celebrate the end of gx,then put them in Shonen Jump.Or they could be like Yugi's knight cards and be in a set featuring the cards of a new series.They might also but Jack Atllas's legendary dragon card Red Demon Dragon in this set too.i also have some guesses about the set when it comes out in english,I'm saying them because I'm to excited for them to put info on shreiks in a few months.When it comes out in english Stardust Dragon will definitly be a secret so to might Red Demon Dragon.I also think it will be released in english in or around August.That means it's coming out in the usa way before the start of the series just like they did with Lost Millenium in May 2005 when gx was released in october.5D's might be released in the usa in or around the begging of 2009 in January or Febuary because that is the same amount of time it took for gx to be released after the lost millenium.May-October is 5 months,August-January is also 5 months.

this pack rocks this and that starter deck can really put a hurtin on any opponent

Will Jack Atlas' dragon become 'Red Archfiend Dragon' in English? And has there been pictures of the card itself (I've seen a picture of IT, but not its card)? I'd like to know if it's in this set, as well as if it's possibly a Fusion monster (This is under the concept that all "5 Ds", as it were, are all a different category of Monster Card...).

And does 'Nitro Synchron's effect mean that there are more "Nitro" Sunchro monsters, possibly in this set? Personally I don't see why 'Nitro Warrior is UR, though it's obviously a great card.

And it seems the ATK2500/DEF2000 of 'Stardust Dragon' matches the recurrent theme of each main character's favorite/best cards be high Level, 2500-ATK.

And I hope they keep making E.Hero fusions, just so they aren't forced to die off, and not including all the new 'Neos' fusions, although only being allowed 15 cards max. for all fusions kind of cuts off their variability...

See, I was right about Stardust Dragon as well! Nitro Warrior doesn't look like that bad of a card, and isn't bad combined with Nitro Synchron. Now, who here thinks Nitro Warrior belongs to Fuduo? First, it was Junk Synchron, who then went to Junk Warrior. Now there is Nitro Synchro AND Nitro Warrior. What's next? Motor Synchro and Motor Warrior? I also think Oneshot Booster is his card. Red Daemon's Dragon IS Jack's card as I said before, and we might see it in this pack if it is seen in a beginning episode.

What is effect of Red Demon Dragon that Atlas use??
What means BY RELEASING THIS CARD?? anyone get that rule?? is that same like activating effect of Exiled Force or what?? it doesnt make sence why then they chanfge wording if there is nothing new...common pros :P

and btw,anyone noticed effect of Nitro Synchro? it says when this card is send to graveyard for synchro summon....That obv mean that we need to send monsters to gy taht are needed for synchro summon of syncho monsters...it seems like fusion without polymerization but with level condition and tuner monster :/

wow this pisses me off so much. the us is sooo far behind on english episodes...we're barely not even through on season 3 and the japanese have almost finished season 4 and starting a brand new series.

Nitro Warriro is awsome.Just activate a spell and It gains 1000 attcack giving it 3800 points.Then If you're opponent has a weak monster you can attack it with this card.He also sort of looks like Perfect Cell.He should have been a reptile,because he looks so much like one.Stardust Dragon's art is also sweet.I like the blue jewels on it's shoulders.It's effect totally rocks.This set will be way behind the series when it releases in america put the wait is totally worth it.

Psychic type? Wow, that has to be really stupid... They aren't that bad, just they shouldn't have made them. It reminds me of Jinzo all over again. Whopper Dragon isn't to bad though. these new sychro monsters are like ritual monsters and fusion monsters put together it seems are rituals still around because fusions are or so it seems anyway

So I guess the Red Demon's Dragon from the weekly jump was just an image from the one in this set.It will most definitly be a ultra.And if you look at the link cybergx put up Mental Sphere demon was an ultra..magical Android is an ulra rare. might also be an ultra.And since the girl is supposed to have esp powers,the pyschic monsters might be her's.I wonder if the pschic monster are like the toons,spirits,gemini's,synchro's etc.in that they also have another type,or if pyschic is a new type alltogether.I wonder if red Demon''s Dragon is in this set or the weekly jump,or maybe it's like E-Hero Neos that in japan it's in both the magazine and booster, and the u.s and europe just in The Duelsit Genesis.

AArrgh! That was so awesome, but the end felt like such a cop-out!!
And next Wednesday 5D's kicks off, and honestly that tiny bit at the end of 180 looked pretty cool.
And since Aki (the main girl) has some ESP powers, it seems likely that she's the one packing the Psychic monsters, which are obviously pretty good so far.

this card is darn broken when having a bad hand with high level monster...

You know the cards like Light and Darkness Dragon that his effect that is attribute is treated as dark. And Elemental Mistress Doriado that here effect that is attribute is treated as wind, water, fire, and earth. Why don't they invent a card that there type is treated as dragon, or warrior, or spellcaster, or machine, ect. That has never been done before. You know that they can have two types insted of one. That would be cool.

And we may see some of these cards in action soon, even some yet to be leaked. Though it's obvious they may just be using the new Starter Deck cards off the bat...

By Yusei: 'Speed Warrior', 'Roadrunner', 'Scrap-Iron Scarecrow' , 'Angel Lift', a Spell that hasn't been revealed yet but used to Special Summon 'Speed Warrior' from the Grave that I think he called 'Angel Wind'?', 'Junk Synchron', 'Junk Warrior', and 'Equip Shoot'.
His Opponent: "Synchro Hound?", 'Whapper Dragon', some Trap that made it so that 'Scrap-Iron Scarecrow' couldn't be activated again, and gave up 'Tactical Espionage Expert(?)', his third "Synchro Hound", and 'Guard Dog' to bring out 'Montage Dragon'.

Really awesome series for sure!

After reading about all this 5D's chit chat.I checked out yugioh-world.com which sometimes has useful info and it said that 4kids ceo Al Kahn announced that they will air 5D's this fall in the us.I guess it will be like yugioh gx in which they continued the last season of the original series when it began.So i guess they will also still show the last season of gx on 4kids.

That was the Trap used to cancel 'Scrap-Iron Scarecrow' in ep. 1, but it sent it back to Yusei's Deck.

One more week guys and this pack comes out... Can't wait to find out about the other cards.

quick question to anyone to answer is dark assassin a dark form of an older card if so which card and this pack looks awesome already and we hardly know any of the cards in it and its coming out in less than a week i hope we see more older themes cards in this pack

this pack is awesome it really is a new barrel dragon weaker but a new one spirit monsters 0_0 we haven't had those in a pack in a long time an official spirit monster i believe anyway i think there are more spirit monsters in the next pack cause it says something bout older themes. Yugioh is finally going back to how it should be more serious( a bad word to use ) and confusing to newer players. i meant serious with no e heroes which i really didn't have a problem with the heroes really but yea . A good pack to start the series up on hope it continues =)

There are so many awesomely awesome cards in this set! Cards to keep the Batterymen up in their playability, and so much more, including traps to actually take out 'Dark Armed Dragon' and the Monarchs (or rather, take control of the Monarchs).
The worst part of this is when it comes to the TCG, all but 'Magical Android' will unfortunately be Secret Rares and nobody will play them because they'll be too hard to pull and too expensive to buy online individually...

I think TDGS-JP078's name should be Fisher Charge...

Just a note, Gorogol makes your opponent's monster go face-down, not itself.
And can't really see, but Distractor looks like it can only destroy "set" magic/trap cards.
Also, Yasaka Magatama (or Yasakani Magatama) heals equal to the Atk, not half. (It's texted like Mental Sphere Demon, so it should work the same. Not sure about Thought-Guided Force, though, a bit blurry)
TDGS-JP061 should be Battery "Recycle".
Junk Attack hits when equipped monster destroys a monster in battle, instead of when it gets destroyed. (And the damage is half of destroyed monster's Atk)

remember when i said these cards suck erase that out of your memories this pack is the truth in every way i mean they covered everything most of the decks that people are running have ALOT!!! of new help i mean the SPIRITS come on THOSE cards really did suck but now they got all this new crap for them and they have a new gladiator haaaaaiii man this awesome darc the dark charmer mmmm interesting a new what about the light wonder if they will make that anyway this pack rules every pack EVERY PACK!!!!!
